Flags to Honor Veterans

Just in time for the Memorial Day parade, a "Flag Corridor" has been established on Williams Street in Downtown Crystal Lake. Over two dozen American flags and flagpoles were purchased from The Flag Store in Downtown Crystal Lake.  The flags are flying high on Williams Street (both blocks, both sides of the street), creating an impressive Flag Corridor. The flag project has been in the works since last summer.  It is a cooperative effort between Downtown Crystal Lake/Main Street, Crystal Lake American Legion Post 171, and the City of Crystal Lake. The plan is to display the flags from the middle of May through the middle of July.
