Downtown Crystal Lake’s Art at the Depot event postponed due to air quality conditions.

Crystal Lake, IL — July 16, 2026 — Art at the Depot in Downtown Crystal Lake is postponed to Thursday, August 20, 2026 – the final date in the Dusk at the Depot summer series. The Illinois EPA has declared today, July 16, a Red Forecast Air Pollution Day, which discourages prolonged outside activities and exertion.

The Downtown Crystal Lake Arts Committee, who has been planning this series since February, says, “We want this event to be a fun, healthy experience for the artists, performers, volunteers – and you. Please come on August 20th for a combined and expanded event, and enjoy an art-filled evening in the park! Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!”

During the August 20th Dusk at the Depot event, you can look forward to an art fair, live music from Sara Jean Stevens & the Swamp Angels, a performance by the Judith Svalander Dance Theater and so much more.
